Richmond to Philly

Well, Claire is moved. We left this great place for the last time. Many memories here over the years. So great to be able to park in the front yard. The dogs and cats loved wandering.

Had a great trip from Richmond to West Chester, PA, a suburb of Philly. Went all back roads and it was fantastic. 240 miles. Departed at 0900 and arrived about 1430. Very little traffic, excellent roads and fantastic countryside.

There were some "interesting" moments. The GPS lagged a bit and I missed a turn or 2. We ended up on several 1 lane bridges and a tiny road along a creek that 2 cars couldn't pass on, much less a car and a motor home. Oh well, it was fun. Some AMAZING mansions along that little road.

We are staying at a KOA Campground. Link: clicky. It is minutes from a train station that goes into Philly cheap ($1 with a Medicare card!). Lancaster PA and Amish Country is a short drive from here. We'll be here 4 nights.
